Over the years, he has proven his management skills on film shoots across the world while working with today’s largest studios and biggest named talent.
Most Recently, Brian co-founded Gambit Films, a boutique production financing company geared towards leveraging small amounts of capitol to produce a slate of modest budget feature films. During the first year of operation, Brian brought in 100+ projects with A-List attachments such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, and Shia LaBeouf - just to name a few.
Before forming Gambit Films, Brian worked with Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts to co-found Chapman Entertainment, LLC. This is a first-of-its-kind, for profit partnership with a leading university’s film studies program. The program will produce and distribute five to ten micro-budget films per year, in alignment with the university’s curriculum and utilizing the school’s resources, students, and fundraising capabilities.
Prior to the founding of Chapman Entertainment, Brian co-founded Micro Film Studios - a unique studio model designed to build a broad network of independently sustainable film studios, each designed to produce five to ten pictures a year in the micro-budget range. Brian negotiated and secured the rights to execute this business model in the state of Washington, along with an exclusive allocation for the majority of the state’s tax incentives and rebate programs.
Prior to that, Brian was the Head of Physical Production for Element Films, a major player in the world of independent film production and financing. During his tenure with the company, a nine picture distribution deal with Lions Gate Distribution was secured and they released 8 full-length feature films grossing over $200 million. Brian simultaneously acted as the lead production consultant for Orleans Studios. He collaborated on the initial design and planning of their state-of-the-art sound stage complex, and designed a business infrastructure from the ground up, working with state and federal officials to maximize infrastructure and filming incentives.
James LaVitola - IMDB
James began performing at an early age, mostly in the living room for his friends and family. His love for entertaining others was only rivaled by his love for sports, particularly track, football, and extreme sports as a whole. As he grew, so did the level of his passions. He excelled at sports as well as entertaining, and quickly became an exceptional hip-hop and break dancer. It didn't take long for professionals in the entertainment industry and college scouts to take notice and begin recruiting him. James started working for several artists as a backup dancer and choreographer. He also became a professional dance instructor; teaching hip-hop and break dancing to youngsters in New York City, all the while only a high school student himself. When it came time to graduate, James had a decision to make: either accept a college scholarship for any one of the sports he excelled at, or take a role on the Broadway show Three from Brooklyn. He chose the latter. After the stint on Broadway, he wanted to continue in his pursuit to entertain, so he migrated to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. Between his natural charisma and extensive athletic ability, it didn't take long for James to begin consistently working in the world of major motion pictures. He utilized his football skills to land a role in the Universal Pictures film Friday Night Lights performing football stunts. Shortly thereafter he teamed up with Universal Pictures, performing motorcycle stunts for Fast and the Furious. Next up for James was the opportunity to work on the iconic Paramount Studios film, Transformers. Finally, a motorcycle accident ended his career in stunts, but he continues to work in the entertainment industry today behind the camera.
